Saeide Kaivani

Dr. Saeide Kaivani is a Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia Health. Prior to joining Counseling and Psychological Services, she completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Dr. Leon. O. Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment & Consultation. She has worked with patients across the lifespan in residential, outpatient, and college counseling centers.

Saeide’s professional interests include trauma, sexual and gender identity, identity development, and acculturation/adjustment issues. Her doctoral research focused on the experiences of transgender and gender non-binary individuals with body image and social discrimination. She works with an integrative approach to psychotherapy, framed by psychodynamic, interpersonal, and existential perspectives.
