Madeline Lippman

Dr. Madeline Lippman joined Columbia Health in 2018.  Prior to Columbia, Maddy worked at several university mental health centers, including SUNY Purchase, CUNY’s Graduate Center, and The New School, where she was Assistant Director of Clinical Training. She also held the position of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Student Wellness and Counseling Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. 

Maddy completed her internship in clinical psychology at Columbia Presbyterian-Psychiatric Institute. She also completed psychoanalytic training in the Postdoctoral Program at NYU, where she also trained in couple therapy. She received a certificate in Human Sexuality through the Psychiatry Department at NYU Medical Center.

Maddy’s professional interests include young adult development, creativity, bereavement, mindfulness and psychotherapy, couple therapy and sex therapy.
