Daniel B. Chiarilli

Daniel has been a part of Columbia Health since 2001, when he began volunteering as an Advocate at GHAP while he was a PhD student in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

On top of his responsibilities in GHAP, Daniel counsels students in tobacco cessation, facilitates support groups, and is a member of the Trans and Gender Expansive Health Team, the Student Partnerships Working Group, the QA / QI Working Group, the Developing Community Capacity Working Group, as well as the Social Media Collaboration team

Outside of Columbia Health, Daniel is an adjunct assistant professor of music at Columbia and teaches in the Core Curriculum.

Daniel enjoys aerobics classes in which he's the only guy, reading novels (he recommends the Elena Ferrante Neopolitan Quartet), watching too much Masterpiece Theater, spending time with his partner, and completing NY Times Crosswords (using Autocorrect).
