Learning Specialists

You must first register with Disability Services (DS) in order for DS to determine your eligibility for this accommodation. Refer to the registration page for further information.

DS Learning Specialists work with students registered with DS to facilitate the development of compensatory strategies and academic skills.  Our Learning Specialists work with students on an individual basis in which each student’s specific needs are considered in determining the appropriate areas to be addressed.  Our Learning Specialists do not help with content-based work as a learning specialist is not a tutor.  Rather, our Learning Specialists work with students to develop strategies on a more global level that will help them compensate for difficulties in several areas.

Scheduling an appointment with a DS Learning Specialist

Students registered with DS should contact Disability Services to schedule an appointment with a Learning Specialist. Please note our learning specialists are NOT available during Drop-in Hours.
