Aetna Advantage™ Dental Coverage

When selecting a dental services program, students and their families might consider:

• Type of provider rendering care (e.g., a faculty supervised dental student, a post-graduate fellow in a dental specialty, an attending dentist)
• Availability of appointments
• Location of the dental practice
• Cost of service

Aetna Advantage™ Dental Coverage gives students the ability to select a primary care dentist (PCD) from the large Aetna Network. The participating dentists are conveniently located within the tri-state area and some offer weekend office hours. This plan provides a wide range of service options including preventative and diagnostic care following a $5 per visit copay.

The enrollment deadline is September 30 for the Fall Term (and February 1 for Spring Term students).

Please note that enrollment in Aetna Advantage™ Dental Coverage is open to all students. You do not need to be enrolled in the Columbia Student Medical Insurance Plan to take advantage of this plan.
