Disability Grievance Procedure

Columbia University is committed to providing an accessible and welcoming environment for faculty, staff, students, and University visitors.  Further, Columbia University is also committed to providing suitable and reasonable accommodations and supportive services for individuals with disabilities.  Consistent with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Columbia has established both informal and formal disability grievance procedures in order to provide prompt and equitable resolution to disability-related concerns.

Individuals with disabilities who believe that s/he has been subjected to discrimination or harassment on the basis of a disability, or has been denied access or accommodations may use either of the following grievance procedures.  Columbia University encourages individuals with disabilities to work with Disability Services (DS) to informally address any concerns regarding accommodations.
