Patricia Swander Farrell

Patricia Swander Farrell joined Columbia Health in 2007. Prior to joining Columbia Health, Patricia was a social worker in the Partial Hospital program of New York-Presbyterian Hospital's Payne Whitney Clinic. She was also a social worker in the clinic's Intensive Outpatient program, Inpatient program, and Substance Abuse unit. She attended Skidmore College for her undergraduate degree and received her M.S. from Columbia University School of Social Work.

Patricia's professional interests include assisting students in navigating transitional and separation issues, as well as body image and substance abuse issues. Patricia enjoys integrating psychological awareness with increasing positive coping skills. She is a member of the Eating Disorders Team and enjoys working with couples. In addition to her work at Columbia, she is a staff clinician at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia and is a sexual assault survivors advocate for Bellevue Hospital Center and NYU Langone Medical Center.
