Sharon Sperling-Silber, N.P., ANP-BC, is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, Mass. She received her nursing degree from Montgomery College in Maryland and Masters of Science in Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
Sharon spent several years working as an Operating Room Nurse, before attaining her masters degree and relocating to New York City as a Nurse Practitioner with the geriatric population in a long term care facility.
Sharon developed a brochure on the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression for use by nurses in gynecology and pediatric offices. Her masters thesis focused on the "Primary Care Provider's barriers to initiating insulin therapy in type 2 Diabetics."
Prior to joining the health care profession, Sharon worked as a video editor in Public Television. Her hobbies include scuba diving and baking bread.
