Lauren Salmo

Lauren joined Columbia Health in October 2010 as a writer for Go Ask Alice! She enjoys writing engaging and interesting responses to readers’ questions. Lauren is currently a student at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, where she studies Sociomedical Sciences. In the future, Lauren aims to work to reduce disparities in adolescent sexual health, particularly among urban minority youth.

Lauren is originally from the suburbs of New York City. She enjoys taking dance classes, riding her bike along the Hudson River, and reading voraciously while on the subway.
