Yaniv Phillips

Dr. Yaniv Phillips joined Columbia Health in 2004. Prior to coming to Columbia Health, Yaniv was a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor at North Central Bronx Hospital, where he worked with HIV patients and their families, men with sexuality concerns, and with couples. He earned his B.A. at Tel Aviv University, Israel and his M.A. and Ph.D. at Adelphi University's Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies.

Yaniv completed his internship at the Karen Horney Clinic where he specialized in work with adolescents and with families. He has gone on to pursue specialized training by completing the advanced couples and family therapy program at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Yaniv's professional interests include couples therapy, the psychology of immigration, culturally related adjustment issues, relationship issues, and men's experience of intimacy and sexual health. Yaniv works with individuals and with couples, and conducts workshops on procrastination, as well as workshops for international students on adjustment to life at Columbia.

Yaniv is a member of the Counseling and Psychological Services Outreach Team. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.
