Psychologist
Dr. Jessica Parrillo joined Columbia Health in 2011. Prior to joining Columbia Health, Jessica completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Princeton University Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and a pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Johns Hopkins University Counseling Center. She earned her B.A. at Washington and Lee University, her M.A. and M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Georgia, and served as the assistant director of St. Lawrence University’s Counseling Services.
Jessica's professional interests include eating disorders, identity development, women’s issues, the psychological effects of trauma, and the integration of mindfulness into therapeutic work. She enjoys helping students navigate adjustment issues, interpersonal relationships, and family concerns, as well as exploring the impact of how gender, culture, and social factors impact identity, so as to promote optimal development.
