Erik Nook

Erik Nook joined Columbia Health in 2009 and is a junior at Columbia College. As an honors student, he is majoring in psychology with a concentration in philosophy. From a young age he has been interested in healing, and after completing a Certificate IV Massage Program at the Australian Institute of Massage, Erik has applied the skills and knowledge he learned in his Australian massage business and at Columbia as the Stressbusters Coordinator. He hopes that his future will involve clinical or academic psychology which will allow his fascination with healing and the mind to make changes in the world and people around him.

Erik heralds from Iowa, South Africa, and Australia, and his diverse background melds into his multiple interests. In addition to loving massage and Stressbusters, Erik is also a competitive Latin dancer and a classical saxophonist. He has worked with people with mental disabilities, in the cadaver dissection lab at Murdoch University in Western Australia, and with high school students who attended Columbia University High School Program.
