Sonya Martin joined Columbia Health in 2012. She earned her B.A. at Amherst College, her M.A. at the University of Chicago, and her M.D. at New York University School of Medicine. She is currently a chief resident at the New York State Psychiatric Institute at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. Sonya’s professional interests include global mental health, public psychiatry, women’s mental health, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Sonya is licensed to practice psychiatry in New York State.
