Dr. Lisa Cohen joined Columbia Health in February 2012. Prior to joining Columbia Health, she was on staff at the Columbia University Medical Center Student Health Service, and a Supervising Psychologist at the City College of New York's Trauma and Addiction Project. Lisa was also a Clinical Supervisor at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
She earned her B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. and Ph.D. at Yale University. She then completed the NYU-Bellevue Clinical Psychology Internship Program, and received advanced training as a post-doctoral fellow in the Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College. Her professional interests include treatment of trauma related conditions, as well as anxiety, mood, eating, and substance use problems. She is also committed to working with students and young adults on a range of issues that commonly emerge as they are dealing with academic pressures, facing relationship challenges, and trying to balance personal and professional development.
In addition to her position at Columbia, Lisa is a Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and has a part-time private practice.
